At Chance Through Sports Foundation, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to participate in sports regardless of financial circumstances.
Our Community Access Program helps children and teens from low-income and financially challenged households gain access to structured tennis, basketball, volleyball and pickleball programs in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.
Our goal is not only athletic participation, but also confidence-building, social connection, healthy routines, mentorship, and long-term personal growth through sports.

Free Summer Pickleball Camps in Tacoma
Through our partnership with Gorin Sports, we are proud to offer a free ongoing Summer Pickleball Camps for children in the Tacoma community.
Designed for beginners and young athletes alike, the program introduces children to one of the fastest-growing sports in the country while helping them build confidence, coordination, teamwork, and healthy habits in a safe and supportive environment.
Each session focuses on more than just learning the game. Our experienced coaches encourage sportsmanship, respect, perseverance, and personal growth, ensuring that every child feels welcome and has the opportunity to succeed at their own pace.
Whether a child is picking up a paddle for the very first time or looking to continue developing their skills, our goal is simple: to make quality sports programming accessible to every family.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TIERS
CTS uses a tiered support model designed to provide assistance based on household size and financial need.
Families shall still contribute a reduced portion of program fees depending on the level of support awarded. This shared participation model helps encourage long-term program commitment while allowing CTS to support a greater number of families within the community.
ELIGIBILITY & REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
As part of the Financial Assistance Program, CTS requires documentation to verify household income and determine eligibility. All information submitted is kept confidential and used solely for application review purposes.
Acceptable Documentation:
Most recent federal tax return (Form 1040 — first two pages)
Two recent pay stubs for each working household member
W-2 forms if tax returns are unavailable
Proof of government assistance (SNAP, TANF, SSI, SSDI, etc.)
Unemployment benefit statements
Employer verification letter stating position, hours, and pay
For Self-Employed Applicants:
Schedule C from tax return
Profit & loss statements
Business bank statements
If a family is unable to provide standard documentation, we encourage them to contact CTS directly so alternative verification options may be discussed.

Submit the Financial Assistance Application Form
Upload or provide supporting income documentation
CTS reviews household eligibility and program availability
Families receive notification regarding support level and placement options Approved participants are matched with appropriate programs
